The original 013R00591 xerography module (copy cartridge, drum unit, photoreceptor module, drum cartridge, imaging unit, drum cartridge, xerographic module) is an electronic and mechanical assembly, the main part of which is the photoreceptor. In this case, the photoreceptor is a thin-walled metal tube with a layer of photosensitive substance applied to the surface. The surface created in this way receives a charge from a special element at the initial stage of printing. When the photoreceptor rotates, a laser beam acts on it according to a certain algorithm. Next, the toner is "attracted" to the interaction sites. From the photoreceptor, the toner adheres to a sheet of paper that has an opposite charge. The photoreceptor itself is cleaned with a special element for the next printing cycle. It is worth remembering that the photosensitive layer is very easy to damage. Small chips, scratches or scuffs on it can lead to the appearance of certain defects on the print. In addition, the photoreceptor should not be exposed to direct light rays for a long time. If it becomes necessary to remove the copy cartridge, this can be done for a maximum of 1-2 minutes in room lighting, but we still recommend covering it with something opaque. There is a mechanical button on the cartridge for more convenient fixation and removal from the device. It also has a built-in chip (a small board with a microchip), it allows the machine to identify the cartridge and show the remaining resource as a percentage. The photoreceptor module is supplied in a cardboard box. In it, it is securely fixed at the ends and additionally packed in a reflective bag.
